90 Days!

Dear Delaney families,

Next Tuesday is Day 90 of our school year.  Please take time to tell your children how proud of them you are for their continuous efforts with their learning here at Delaney.  When I walk through the halls, or into classrooms, I see their physical growth, hear their academic growth and watch their social achievements. What a milestone! Here are some of the week’s highlights:

Positive Referrals!

This student showed respect for his environment!

This student showed respect and collaboration!

This student is always smiling!

This student is always mindful and responsible!

Tuesday was a Professional Development day for the teaching staff. We worked all day on the Writing Process and how to best confer with our students about their writing.

Many of our paraprofessionals participated in a Math workshop with Dr. Ribiero. We thank them for their interest in continued growth and learning to better work with the students.

The nurses in the Delaney Health Office are asking you to adhere to their requests that children be kept home if they are not fever free for 24 hours without medication.  In addition, children that have vomited or had diarrhea within 24 hours of school should not attend. Please help them in their goal of keeping our student population healthy and have a family plan in advance as we go deeper into flu season.
