Week 4

Thanks for supporting our team!
Many students will benefit from the scholarships!

"Home computers are being called up on to perform many new functions, including the consumption of homework formerly eaten by the dog!"

Friendly reminder! Please be sure to pick up a Visitor badge and sign in at the Delaney or Annex office before entering the school.

Now that we have reached the end of September, it is important to remember that K-3 students need to walk independently to their classrooms. Parents accompanying children may stop in the office if support is needed, but please refrain from walking your child to the classroom door.

When planning appointments for your child(ren) please try to avoid the end of day, especially when they have a special. When they leave early from a once per week class, they miss content that is not easily made up.
Students that are being  picked up in office before end of school day due to unforeseen circumstances...

Please plan to pick up your student at their respective office!

Grades 2 and 3  at the Janelli Annex Office (Mrs. Dumas)

Pre-K, K and 1 Delaney Office (Mrs. Rando, Ms. Best)

Fountas & Pinnell testing has been taking place in September......... these baseline assessments give tremendous amounts of information to the classroom teacher about your child's reading and comprehension levels.

The Wrentham Public Schools Special Education Parent

What is Fountas and Pinnell Testing?

The Fountas And Pinnell Baseline Assessment Assessment System is one-on-one (student to teacher) assessing to determine students' independent and instructional reading levels. This allows teachers to plan differentiated instruction that best meets the needs of students. Student progress can be documented across a school year and across grade levels.

Thank you for reading and viewing.

A former student with a new friend!

What is the difference between a Reading Specialist and a Literacy Specialist?

Literacy specialists are helping our most needy students with all aspects of literacy (reading, writing, speaking and listening, and language) as defined in the 2011 Massachusetts English Language Arts frameworks. They are still providing direct, specialized reading instruction for students that struggle THE MOST with reading, but their responsibilities go beyond the scope of reading.

Why aren't we receiving automated phone calls when our children are absent?

The system has not been working correctly and is under repair. We hope to have it working soon. Thank you for your patience.

Thank you for reading and viewing!
