Hello Delaney Families,
Autumn is definitely in the air and the children are well into their learning and putting in great effort which is the key to success.  Here are some highlights and news items.

The staff charity softball game has been rescheduled to Wednesday October 15th at 6:00.  If  you purchased tickets they will still be honored.

The PTO fall fundraiser has been extended and the new deadline is October 15th for orders.

Thank you so much for the great effort and cooperation everyone has given to our new arrival procedure. It is going well and the children and adults are safer!

We welcomed a new school nurse to Delaney. Mrs. Lisa Scollins has joined Mrs. Richardson in the school health office and been busy meeting students!  We are so lucky to have her.

Miss Blake's first grade class have buddies in Mrs. Haughey's six grade class.

Our Delaney School Library will be up and running soon. We have had a few technical and logistical issues surrounding it's new location and those are being worked out between our librarian, custodians and technical support.  We appreciate everyone's patience and we are lucky that our classrooms have an amazing amount of excellent literature and our nearby Fiske Library is always available to assist families with book choices for children.

Star Testing has been ongoing. Children are taking the Math and Reading online assessments in the Vogel Integrated Computer Lab.  The results help each teacher guide and plan instruction to best meet the needs of all children and to monitor their progress over time.

Recent Positive Referrals:

These boys were kind and included a peer at lunch.

This role model included a peer in a recess football game.

October 23rd!

Thanks for reading and viewing.
