Dear Delaney Families,
May has arrived and hopefully we have seen the last flurry! The students came back from spring vacation ready to learn and we have seen their efforts throughout Delaney. There was an amazing poetry event in Grade 1, fractions work in Grade 3, and continued writing projects in every grade. Here are some highlights from the week:
May Day Poem
Mrs. Nunes' Kindergarten
Grade 3 had lunch with
Norfolk DARE Officer Plympton
The students were a respectful group while listening to Officer Plympton talk about the special summer DARE program for current Grade 3 students.

Volunteer Opportunity
Dear
Parents,
The Art Show
for grades K-3 is at the end of May.
Please consider volunteering an hour and a half of your time on any of
the following times:
Friday, May 22 from 8:20-9:40 a.m. (This is the
Friday before Memorial Day Weekend)
Art Room: For an hour and ten minutes we will glue the
students’ art work to large pieces of poster paper.
Gibbon’s Gym :This time will be spent setting up the actual Art
Show.
Gibbons Gym: Dismantling the Art Show. The show must be taken down immediately. Many hands make for light work.
I hope you
will consider volunteering. Without
volunteers the show could not take place.
It is a great event for all. Thank
you.
Best
regards,
Andrea
